Peer Trainees and Their Activities.
The Peer Trainees are very enthusiastic for conducting activities for their batch.
with
the help of them we have reached a wider group of students. The aim in
selecting Peer Trainees was to make sure that our juniors are also
equally involved in our programmes.

Life Skills Workshop
12th December'12
This was the second time we conducted this workshop, this time for classes sixth to eighth. We introduced the children to peer education and life skills. Although the workshop was all about What are Life Skills?, How to use them and their importance but we focused more on anger and stress management. I'd be rather candid and tell you that it wasn't an easy task conducting this workshop for our juniors. Especially when they came up with so many ideas and experiences, everyone was enthusiastic to share and express themselves.
It turned out that our juniors were not the only ones to learn, we also learned a lot from them.
We devoted more time to explaining and interacting with the students to make sure that they understood. And with lots of help from Dr. Aradhana Sharma, our counselor, we did very well.
First Aid and CPR Workshop
We attended our fifth workshop on First Aid and Basic Life Support. It was organized at the National Science Centre on 4th December by Expressions India. We were attended by a group of resource persons and doctors( esp. Cardiac-Surgeons) from Medanta Medicity. It was a good learning experience. We learnt many First Aid tips and also CPR. We got to know the BLS protocol and also practiced CPR on dummies. Now that we have attended this workshop I hope we will be able to revive an unresponsive person if the need arises.
We conducted the same workshop at the school today i.e. 6th December. Apart from the student representatives of ninth standard, the prefects of sixth, seventh and eighth standard also attended this workshop. The workshop went really well, all thanks to the wonderful audience we had!
The students were so enthusiastic to learn, and even the students of sixth standard were confident and interactive. It wasn't much effort to teach the students First Aid. We hope to conduct many such workshops in future. Till then please give your feedback and suggestions.

The audience showed an enthusiastic participation and got Classmate goodies. The contestants and the teachers were equally thrilled. Also Dr. Subhash Arora was there to enlighten us all. Thanks Derek O'Brien and Associates.
